How to make your own eye make up remover
A few years ago I worked as a beauty advisor for Lancome cosmetics. While I hated the sales aspect of the job, working for one of the largest cosmetic companies in the world had it's advantages, mainly, the free products. I got SO much free loot working there it was ridiculous. I still have a few products left over from my time with the company.
While working at Lancome I discovered the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. It's called Bi Facil and it will take off even the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup.
The problem is, like most Lancome products, it's expensive. A four ounce bottle will set you back $23 and up. Since I don't get free products and employee discounts, I sadly cannot afford fancy pants lotions and potions anymore.
I have three different home made eye makeup removers to share today that will only cost you pennies. If you already have these ingredients (which most of you probably do) then it will cost you nothing and free is always the best price.

My version of Bi-Facil may not come from France, have fancy french words on the label or make you feel like running barefoot through the lavender fields of Provence, but it works and that's all that matters.
Step 1: Take your old empty bottle of eye make up remover and wash it out, or use any old container that would work for eye make up remover.
Step 2: Add a tiny amount of baby shampoo or any kind of no- tear shampoo. For a 6 ounce bottle I used a pea sized amount
Step 3: (optional) add a squirt of witch hazel. I use witch hazel as toner sometimes so I added a teaspoon to the bottle. It helps clean up the oil you will be adding to the mixture in step 5.
Step 4: Fill the bottle halfway up with water
Step 5: Fill the bottle the rest of the way up with oil. I used baby oil. Any light weight cooking oil like grapeseed oil will do if you don’t have baby oil.
The oil and water will be separated in the bottle. Shake it up till they are mixed and pour onto a cotton pad. Wipe carefully over your eyes. The oil part of the mixture will break down the waterproof parts of you eye makeup and the water/ shampoo mixture will clean up the rest of the eye makeup and remove any oil residue.
You can follow this up with the rest of your normal face cleansing routine.
Since we are already in the topic of makeup you may want to learn about the four brow-shaping tips to complement a long face shape.
Let me know if you give this a try and tell me how it works for you in the comments!

How about using Organic Baby Shampoo? When I type it in the search engine here in the UK different websites come up.

Just FYI, Johnson's Baby Shampoo contains quaternium-15, a preservative that kills bacteria by releasing formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. I've heard that J&J might reformulate the shampoo, but till then, it's best not to use it.
